Colleen, well done, I would do some embroidery on it, maybe white on white with beads and ribbon!!!!!!!

Good for you! It makes me think of the 60's or 70's era. You could put designs on from one of those eras if you would like. (Flower Power, Smiley Face, Peace Sign) But it would date it. Keeping it plain might make it stylish longer. Hard to say
Thanks for the input. I think I have decided what to put on it. But...I could change my mind AGAIN. LOL!
I have an off-beat question? Why don't you embroider a water-lily on it? I have seen a free one online somewhere that was very pretty. Trouble is, I just do not remember where I saw it! I have seen it more than once so some of these wonderful ladies will surely remember where it is! I love the Bag and congrats on the weight loss! If I tried to make a bag out of my outgrown jeans, it would probably look like a piece of luggage instead of a bag. heehee Linda
I had thought of the waterlily. I have several of them in my designs. But I have done the water garden theme on several other things so I think I will switch it up a bit. I'm sure you are exaggerating about your outgrown clothes. LOL! You are quite funny!
Great idea and I would embroider something fun on it, nifty to be thifty lol
Oh! you gotta embroider this!!!!!! It is a fabulous idea, make lots of them and sell them. What an ingenious idea - maybe we could all start looking in our wardrobes!.
You could do all sorts of embroideries. Sporting, floral, religious, applique etc. etc. etc.
Lucky you to be the one that shrank and not the other way around. I tend to have filled out and my skirts somehow don't fit me - thank God for elasticated waistbands!!!!
Love and blessings Chris
Thank You so much! I HAVE been looking through my old to see if there is anything else I might be able to convert.
Love the tote as is but a design will make it even better....great job. Like the way you recycled and congrats for losing weight.
Colleen, good for you - then the skirt is too big to wear - but makes a great tote - I would put some embroidery work on it - if it were me - I love it - as is - but think that you would get so many comments on embroidery and that would maybe get you some business - if you care to do that. I love this - did you line it or were you waiting to do the embroidery first? Or not at all? *4U
Thanks Shirlene! I really wanted to embroider on it, too, but my daughter told me to leave it alone. What the heck does she know....she is only 13! LOL!
oh definatley do some embroidery on it if it is for you I would go with roses on that white they would look elegant
That is exactly what I was thinking. A really nice rose design. But then I started thinking of a really pretty floral cross I embroidered on a handkerchief for someone, and now I'm conflicted. The roses would probably be better.
I love the way you described the shrinkage of this skirt LOL I don't feel bad about my shrinking wardrobe LOL The tote looks great good job at recycling those darn old shrinking things.
Actually,I'm the one that shrank! I kept all my fat clothes because I thought If I got rid of them, I would be needing them again.
