I have never thought about it...but what a great idea a reversable appron! I also love the comment made about adding red work embroidery to it, so the design is on both sides..
I have never made a double sided apron either. My first thought was that if it was dirty you could just turn it around but that didn't make sense because the mess would get on your clothes LOL. But I like your idea, you get 2 cute aprons in one. Wear what you want depending on your mood. I make most of mine in thick fabric like Trigger but the ones I did in a calico could use another layer to protect my clothes.
Can't wait to see yours.
oh oh oh hey i can answer this one also lol when i was in 8th grade wow i can remember that far back lol me and my granny made a apron she hand embroidered on it strawberries on one side then she sewed the other side on and it had a pocket that looked like a strawberry she sewed the pocket on before she sewed it to the other piece wow that brought back a great memory thank u for that my mom has the apron still till this day
if you want it reversable, perhaps you can do some redwork, using the same thread on both sites.
My sister-in-law made me one many years ago, that was double sided, it's a bib apron that's really cute. Used to be my "Sunday apron", when I'd start cooking Sunday dinner in my good clothes right after church. Wow, that took me waaaayyy back. I like the double one, because it's thicker, and if you really do spill something, it won't get thru to your good clothes. Uh, if anybody wears good clothes any more when they cook. I haven't been in 'good clothes' since the last funeral, hee hee hee. Hugs, Marji
I used to do Sunday dinner too, but nobody here to do it for any more. Tv dinners all the way! hehehehe
Never saw a doublesided apron so I'll wait untill it is posted inthe projectssecetion toe see. :0)
Up for you to see let me know what you think! The next one will be a little more girly.
Ronny, I think your reversible apron idea is fabulous! Can't wait to see your creations.
