DO you have embird? I just did a stitch preview & it would be possible to split the design. If you don't have embird you can d/l a free trial.
What format are you using? If you are in PES it is possible to reduce PROVIDING you have the softwear
hus,no I don't have the software. tried turesizer couldn't figure it out.I'm slow,I will have to try something else, Thanks
You could try leaving off the zig zag line under the engine, (the smoke coming out at the top is the same color as parts of the engine so that would not work as well)which would then make your design fit the 4x4 ...then you could go back and add them after..I wouldn't suggest reducing the engine as it is in proportion to the rest of the alpha cars...
Hope I have made myself understood... Glenda
Glenda - I'm curious. I have the same problem as bunnylane, but I am able to reduce using Truesizer. However, you mention leaving off the zig-zag line and I'm wondering how you do this. I've tried several programs to eliminate excessive stitches (like writing from a design) and haven't found one to do it. I use PED-Basic and it just won't load to my 4x4 Bernina unless the actual writing has been removed - or in this case, the zig-zag. I do understand about altering designs . . . personal use only.
Hi Sandy - if you look at the sew out of the engine the last stitching is the gold color which is the zig zag for the tracks..if you stop your machine after it has done the orange on the wheels, remove the hoop reposition back in the hoop so that the tracks are now in the area that can be stitched and go on stitching the last color...you need to print a template out of the design and that will allow you to position the tracks in the right place..hope this makes it clear... I use Embird..
Just thought this over again and I don't think the machine would let you stitch anything as the engine is not fitting in the 4x4 hoop, at least that is how my Brother ULT 2001 would read it...If you have Embird you could delete the track zig zag which would then let you center the engine in the 4x4..sorry about that should have thought it out better the first time...
You could download WilcomTruesizer and resize the design. I think you'd have to reduce the wagons the same percentage to keep the size of the tracks equal.
