I agree with many of the Cuties . I hate that hoop line that is hard to get out. I most of the time use. Sticky Stablizer. It works great .
You hoop the stabiliser and attach your fabric in one of the following ways. 1. by a basting stitch or pins or hand basted - all of which leave small holes in things like leather where you don't want them; 2. by using temporary spray glue or 3. by using sticky stabiliser. I prefer a basting stitch unless the material asks for something else.
try this....
I embroidered these and hooped them just fine..or you can also use a sticky stabilizer too...this was a puff foam flower from emblibrary..oh and it didn't leave any signs of the hooping..I don't think I would use a basting stitch on this paticular foundation as it would perforate the rubber and could leave tell tale signs of the basting stitch...
I don't hoop a lot of things. If your machine has a basting stitch, use that to hold your material in the hoop on top of the stabilizer (which IS hooped) before you start. If the machine doesn't have that, I THINK someone on here has done one for someone. It's also easier to find the middle if the material if is not hooped..you just have to PUT the middle point right where you want it. Am sure someone on here can explain better than I did, but hope I have helped a bit.
Thanks, I do better when I can see things, but don't have anybody close. Will take yours and Mary's help.
oh i learned my lesson about hooping things NEVER again will i hope my fabric use a basting stitch around the design thats what i do now
Mary do u use sticky stabilizer or regular. I feel so dumb at times. Wish I had somebody close for help.
Dont feel dumb . We all started out by not knowing much. When I started out I didn have the benefit of the wonderful Cut family and it was trial and error. LOTS of error . So to ask is wise !
