in the Atlanta area that has done several nice things for me. She is a native of Brazil and is going to school here and working for Peidmont Wound Care Center here in Fayetteville, Ga. She is a real sweetheart! She has just started back to school to finish what she needs to become a full fledged M.D. and is having a rough time of it because she has been out of school for 13 years and in a different country. She is the one that has been doing all the great work on my legs and I would love to do something nice for her. I also would like for it to be in her native country style. She is engaged now so something for her home would be nice but I would also like to do something "just for her"! She is a tiny little thing and has the personality of an angel. Thanks for any help. Dear Linda,
Try to speak to someone from Brazil instead of Argentina. They are not even adjoining countries and the climate is undoubtedly quite different. In the summer (in the southern hemisphere, they celebrate Christmas) in both countries. She sounds similar to my son's girlfriend in Rio (Brazil) since she is also tiny and is a physician. Perhaps something medical would be cherished. The customs in Brazil are certainly different from those in the USA, and the heritage of the particular Brazilian family plays a role, also. Google the country with a specific search about Christmas to see the customs. Good luck with your search.

Thank you for your input. You did have a good idea. She has been here for some time but I do not know how long. She is planning a wedding next summer and saving her money so her whole family can come for the wedding. She has several siblings. Her Mom passed away when she was very small and her Dad raised all of them alone. After all of them left the nest he met someone and remarried. She adores her step-mom. Her Dad just finished his doctorate. He teaches at a University. He spends alot of time encouraging her to go on and get her degree. She has a Title but I forgot what she said it was. I was in the middle of surgery when she was telling me this. They will not transfere her credits from Brazil to the USA so she is starting from scratch to get her M.D. They can't take what she has already earned away but they will not give her credits for it toward her M.D. She has a degree in some type of theraphy. Yes, the culture is alot different. It might be my best bet to just ask her. She loves my embroidered shirts that I wear in the office. Maybe I should listen more carefully.
