Thank you all for you kind words and prayers. *'s and blessings to you all.
I am so sorry to hear about your friend, Val. Val and her family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure that it is with heavy heart that you are starting a comfort quilt for your friend under these circumstances. Alot of love and heartache will go into that project. May the Lord grant her enough time to wear the threads bare. It is wonderful that she has a great friend that would want to be there for her during this awful time. Hugs, Linda
Thank you, I pray also she would be able to wear the threads of the quilt bare too. That would be super wonderful.
I had breast cancer two years ago, it is still in remission, one of my friends has cancer too, it was stage I and now is in her bones, liver, spine, etc., and she is taking chemo again and doing great, I will be praying for your friend too.Thank you for caring, it is hard to find friends when one have cancer, most "friends" and family try to get away...Hugs.
May the Lord bless you and your friend also! Strangely, I do know exactly what you mean. Most people like to stay in their comfort zone and have no idea how to deal with anyone that is sick. I am so glad that you are in remission and I pray that you never have to deal with the dreaded disease again. Only prayer and believing in the Lords miracles will get you through this and keep you where you can actually be happy again. The Lord has given me my life twice and at the time, I wondered if I deserved it. I love the Lord and I try to help all that I can. I am first hand knowledge that the Lord can and will do miracles. You just have to believe in Him and live your life through Him. I am not a fanatic but I know what the Lord can do! Get out there and help someone that does not have help. Care when it seems like no one else cares. This life is short. Make the very best of what you have while you are here. Your next home is your permanant home. Hugs to you and I am sorry you had to find out the same way I did. I had 1 friend that stood by me and 1 aunt. My son did not even show up but 2 times in 8 months. Without my friend, I am sure that I would have given up! She is more like a sister to me that just a friend. Linda
Thank you both. Prayers for you both also. I would love to visit my friend but she lives in Manitoba and I live in Alberta (Canada).... way to far right now, but not to far to be by her side via internet and sending gifts by snail mail. *'s
Joanie, I'm so sorry to hear about Val. Will definitely keep her, Barry and the kids in prayer.
I'm so glad you're back to embroidering... and in your very own place! Wooo hooo! Road trip time.
Thank you Teri, I never thought this would be my first project again after almost a year, other than those towels at Christmas time. But I feel so blessed that I can have the space to do so now. God's timing surely.*'s
I have added Val and her family to my prayers. What a blessing that you have been given the talent to create a piece of yourself to present to your friend. She can wrap herself in your hugs anytime she wants to.
So sorry top hear the reason for you to make a comfort quilt. The family will be in my thoughts.
Joanie, will put them on my list - hope you find comfort in making the quilt, as well. *4U
My thoughts and prayers are with you Joanie, I took a big sigh when I read this. Oh! my what a dreadful disease Cancer is. Prayers too for Val, Angel, Felicia and Katie and of course husband Bayy.
Love and blessings.
I have added her to my prayer list. Your quilt will be much appreciated, I'm sure.
She and her family will be in my prayers. I just completed a throw for my mom who has parkinsons. I used Softdrinks heart design names of all her children, their spouses and all the grands and great grands. I told her it was to remind her we are always close to her, if just in thought at all times. She loved it and is always wrapped up in it when on the couch.
That is so lovely. I will be stitching horses for Val on hers. Need to find my batting.... want to back it with flannel cuz I know she will really love that.
