This pattern is so cute and I have even sewn that same design on a dishtowel many yrs ago. I love this! It makes me want to do one on a towel just like this one. I have all of Betty's little girls on a floppy disc somewhere in my stash but recently made a copy of several of them from and old site that some one was kind enough to post again on CUTE. Those girls are still on my desktop. This design was one of the 1st ones I did after I got my second embroidery machine from BabyLock. I could not get it in a format to sew on the Singer. I was rather new to embroidery way back then and it turned out just great! It has been many yrs ago and I gave it to someone, most likely my Mom, but I thought it was sooo cute. At that time, I was new on a computer as well as the embroidery machine. I had very few designs and was still learning how to embroidery. I was also working 60 to 70 hrs a week on my regular job, so most of my sewing was done in the middle of the night. I did not have the Singer very long before I got the BabyLock. I bought tons of designs for the Singer so I did not feel like I could afford to just get rid of it. I now have 3 Embroidery machines and the Singer XL 1000 has very few miles on it. I really need to try and sale it. I have no way of converting the "free" designs from my computer to use with the Singer. No dealer wants to offer any advice on what I need to do because they just want to sell another machine. Actually the Singer is the machine with the prettiest stitches but I have gotten so used to the color screen on the newest BabyLock that I do not use the other two unless I need to sew 2 things at the same time. Love this E.L. pattern for the towel and The design also.
Go to My Embroidery Haven and to Marie's tutorial page. There you can dl Pulse Ambassador and Wilcom Truesizer to convert the file formats.
I agree these are great girls. She was some digitizer.
Oh well now I can't wait to get a new stove! Wouldn't waste something so pretty on the old one! All my burners have to be lit with a lighter! Told hubby when the oven stops lighting itself I stop cooking! A new washer is #1, then stove and then all the other appliances one at a time, need all new!
Looks great my first one did not turn out as nice as yours, I'll just have to make some more...lol
j'adore, mais quelqu'un pourrait-il nous dire de façon plus précise que 2 ans ,le mois de sewforum, merci
Love this Jo - I didn't see it 2 years ago and after Marianne has given us a direct link have downloaded the PDF and will attempt it later. Love Chris
It is a little tricky to find that project so here is a link if others couldn't: http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/elpr...
Yours looks great, Jo. I've done some too and the hardest thing is remembering how to hang it on the oven door! I still have an oven rail -20year old kitchen :)
Thanks Marianne, that looks great.
I have a double wall oven and always hang my tea towels on there. Of course mine have to have Roosters and I just love them. I tell everyone not to use them though as they are just for decoration!!!!!
Love and blessings Chris
I like this idea better than the "towel toppers". Thanks for posting.
LOVE IT & YOU HAVE CONVINCED ME TOO! I AM OFF TO CHECK IT OUT TOO! THANKS
I love it-just might have to add this to my endless "to do"list! ~linda~
This may have been from a while ago, but I've never seen it and I think it is really lovely. I've done many towels for hanging at the stove - been using them for yrs. but with a totally diff. kind of top. This looks interesting and I'll have to give it a go.
Thanks for sharing - nice job!!

Button hole and 3 X 3 v for the Topsy Towel in PES
Put this in the search box, or just put buttonhole, it will come up for the post that babsmikee88 made when she so graciously gave the designs.
Jo
Very beautiful!
I try to go on Sewforum for the corner buttonhoule and the buttonhoule, but my english languahe is not enough to understand....
Merci for sharing this with us. Very good job.
This is really so cute, and a very nice idea! Love it! After seeing several of these projects for towles hanging from our stove handles, is there anyone left who has a towel bar in their kitchen? Why don't kitchen designers give us a place to hang our towels?? Some day the stove manufacturers are going to come up with a new stove handle, and we'll be out of luck, hee hee hee. Just wondering. Hugs, Marji
You all have made me feel so good! Lately I plan more than I accomplish-long work hours make me so tired at night. I wanted to make something nice for my daughter and was so pleased with the results.
Jo
Love your towel. I just had to go look it up and down loaded it plus other things that looked good. Thank you for the info
absolutely fabulous - also, thank you for sharing the information on how to do it ourselves -
Great job and I love your theme. It looks perfect for July!;)
i love this take on the hand towel very pretty i will post the ones i make and if any one likes just let me know and i will get the pattern to you very easy and chep to make thanks mary
Thanks for the interest. I wanted to add that I used a restaurant napkin that I got at Sam's. The pattern called for squaring off a towel at 19", and the napkin was 20" and needed no hemming. Plus it's way closer to the texture of towels from a while back. The so called "flour sack" ones from WM are more like cheesecloth.
I forgot to say "Thank You" for this wonderful idea. I went to the site and found it, I can't wait to get started on this cute project. It will make great gifts for up coming birthdays and Christmas.
Very Neat, I might have to try later I am getting ready to sell some things at the 450 mile yard sale that runs thru Gadsden, Alabama on up into Tennessee or further not sure exactly how far. I am making some emb. Burp Cloths, some bags for babies and adults.
This is so clever. I simply love it. I want to make a couple too! *4u
I love this towel topper, but can't seem to find it, is the directions there also? Please let me know where to find it.
