i tried to update the Tijima software and dl Pulse Ambassor now I can't open a design after I unzip it. I have to save first then open program. Is there an older version out there somewhere?

OK after much searching I finally downloaded the one I was looking for. That can be really confusing because there is to out there. Pulse Ambassador and digging deeper the Tijima DG/ML Thank you all for the help. Glad that's over with.

I have Janome Digitizer Pro, so I can view designs that are zipped without unzipping them. Can your Viking program do that? Also, I don't have the choice of opening with anything other than Digitizer, because the programs are all in one. The Tajima program will provide you with icon views of the designs that are already unzipped. Just go to 'file' and select 'open'. A window will pop up, and you select 'all files', because it defaults to the tajima digitizing file. All you have to do is select the file, and the picture will show up in the icon window. Just make sure you have the little 'show icon' box above the window checked. I'm not sure why you don't just unzip the files, then go to Tajima to look at them. If you don't want them, trash them from that program. Oh, also, note the top bar from my screen shot, it's Tajima DG/ML by Pulse-Ambassador. The screen shot in the other answer shows you the build number, and also says Tajima right on it. Keep talking here, we'll figure it out. Hugs, Marji

thats the way my old one looked but not the new one it just says Pulse Ambassador

Ok, I'm not understanding the problem, I guess. Not that that ever stopped me before, hee hee hee. When you unzip a file, you HAVE to save it somewhere. Are you saying that you have to perform the unzip and save function before even opening Tajima Pulse? I have this program, I'll go try it, see what happens, get back to you. Ok, I'm back. I opened Tajima, found a zip file, unzipped and saved it, then when I went back to Tajima there it was in the folder, and I opened it. I've added a screen shot of the version of Tajima I have, let me know which one you have. I think I got the upgrade when it came out, but you just never know. hugs, Marji

after i unzipped a file I could double click say a PES and have it open in Tajima now it's won't let me do that. I've browsed to pick which program to open with and it won't let me use Pulse as an option to open it. Yea I can save it in a folder then go open the program and search that folder for the design to see it. I really didn't want to do that if I didn't have to. Because sometimes I would just open a design and if I didn't like it I just deleted it. I hope that all makes sense. I'm going to check out this version you have. the one I downloaded Pulse Ambassador NO where does it say Tajima like my old one did, that's where I was also confused.

well I just downloaded a new free one. Did a search for Tajima free download and it took me here http://www.pulsemicro.com/ambassa... Is this where I should be or keep looking. It looks the same as the old one but just doesn't act the same totally. Which I know new things don't. Like if I go and explore my design files all the designs don't have any symbols like what programs to open them with, put it this away they are all white boxes. If I go into my viking organizer I can see the design no problem...it's just opening them that I'm having the issues with.
