know I may break a rule. As many of you know, I am next to being computer illiterate. I didn't even own one until after I got my embroidery machine. My sweetie gave me a discarded lap top and that is all I have now. I don't know about tabs and such. Unless someone walks me through click by click. I don't always understand. Let's don't get hung up on the "Rules". Now what do I post this under? Kay

85867I really enjoy this site alot and I like the fact that it is like a big family and most of the time everyone looks out for each other. The flowers are fun to me because they are a way of saying Thank You to someone and letting them know that what they did is appreciated. To me the flowers are Smile Value. It is like saying Hey' you went out of your way to help me and I want to give you a smile! It is like a pat on the bake for going out of your way to do something nice for me. I enjoy giving them in hopes that someone will know that they are appreciated. What is the problem with that? That is kind of an initive for everyone to be nice to everyone else. NOW.. I do not see any reason for flowers or even a thank you if everyone is snipping at each other. We are all adults here and most of us have had or do have children. We do not like that kind of behavior out of our household members and we should not practice it here. Yes, we all have personal problems at times but the very ones that we are taking it out on here are the ones that will fight for us in bad times! Everyone has been very nice to me since I have been here and I try my best to be very nice to everyone also. I have serious health problems that I have to deal with and I know that some of the other of you do also. Some of us have other problems. Alot do not bring their problems online and some of us need someonr to talk to sometimes. Health, Death, money, family, machine problems, sewing problems, all of this has been dealt with right here online at this site. There is always someone willing to try to help...alot of someones usually. I do not understand why we and yes I said we, are causing problems instead of finding help for them. I am not pointing fingers or accusing any one or more people. I have even put my 2cents worth in when I should not have. We are family and we should be here for each other on everything not just drastic matters. Veronika, I am sure is not happy when all of this gets started (about anything) but she stays out of it. I for 1 and I am very sure that there are plenty of you (the majority) that sits back and waits for everything to cool down and just hopes that it does without losing any of our beloved group. Each of you are important to me because you are a part of this great Cute Group. I sure would love to see it stay that way. When people get upset they tend to say things that are hurtful to others. I just really like this group alot and I don't want to see anyone hurt or don't want anyone to leave. I know that I am nobody special, just plain old me but I do hope that you will read this and think about what I have said! All of you are important to the group and to all of us!

The only time I ever enjoyed my job at A.T.&T. was when we were told to throw out all the rules. This was done during the Gulf war crisis in the mid 90's

67271I am sooooo happy to know I am not alone. The only reason I have a comp. is for my embroidery machine. I am lucky enough to have a daughter who is a school teacher, & she pretended I was a 7 yr. old, that she was teaching something new to. No comp. lingo, just every day words. It worked!! Of course I had to take a lot of notes.(even how to turn it on) But thanks to you Kay, I know where to put it (under yours) Pat

I am glad I am not the only one that takes notes. When my son starts trying to tell me something over the phone about the computer, he talks to fast and over my head! I try to write down everything he says. Sometimes I write fast enougha and sometimes I don't! If I take time to really listen and try to make heads or tails of what he means I do not get everything down. If I write down everything, then I do not know what I am doing when I go back to try. It is usually trial and error. If I have to call him back or ask him again later, "I just told you that a few days ago"! It is a wonder that this computer is still alive and working as many things that I have done to it and not known what I was doing!

My Kids & Grandkids are still laughing at some of the questions I ask & the way I skrew this comp. up & have to have one of them fix it!! But I keep them laughing anyway. They say I am better than a good joke!!!! I am also 90% deaf, so when they do try to explain something, I don't always hear it right, & that sets them off again. They say they keep me around for the laughs!!!!!
1952Don't be afraid to post..thats how you learn. Even if some busy body wants to tell you that you did it wrong. Thats how we ALL HELP each other learn. I make lots of mistakes. I found out that even though I thought I was voting for this site...I really wasn't. I'm pretty lame at catching on to all the computer stuff but this is where I can learn. And I don't want someone to tell me I'm doing it wrong...My husband and children often point that out to me and who need your sewing group to smack you in the face too!
