Here's a section from an email I just got from Marji about Minou's surgery this morning:

***********

Minou just got out of surgery, and they got the whole tumor out with no complications!!! She's doing ok right now, they're going to monitor her closely to see if she will need a transfusion to keep the blood count high, but they don't want to do that if they don't have to. They are still guarded, because she's not out of the woods yet, she still has to get better and want to eat, etc. They have her on pain meds and IV fluids, and are taking very good care of her.

***********

I'm so happy this surger is over for Marji! She has been worried sick about her little baby... Please keep them both in your prayers. Minou has a road of recovery ahead of her....

Thank you, everyone! I didn't send separate e-mails, because I am sooo exhausted driving 600 miles in 4 days! Just got back home with Minou, and she's doing great! Chowed down a whole can of cat food, and now she wants to go outside and catch mice. Not!! She's ticked off at me and sleeping by the door. Her whole belly is shaved, and her little arm where they put in the IV. And there's a bit of sticky on her nose from where they taped the oxygen and anasthetic during surgery. She looks a little ratty, but her eyes are bright, and she's happy! The doctor said the tumor weighed 2 lbs and was the size of her head. Now, I think there's something to that herbal and holistic stuff, and the visualization technique I was doing, because he said part of the tumor was dying. Unfortunately, it wasn't dying fast enough, was too large. This was the best option at this point, and it worked. Without your care and prayers, I would be digging a grave by now, not rejoicing with my little Lazarus kitty. I cannot thank you enough for your support and caring. Ok, I'm crying again, and I need a nap very badly. I do hope you all find this, we'll talk soon!! Hugs, Marji

Marji I am so very happy to read this post, which I went searching for, looking for more news of Minou.
I shall keep praying for her speedy recovery, but from the sound of your post I think there is no doubt that she will soon be back to her old self.
Hugs n love, M

Marji, my lovely lady, I'm ecstatic to hear how well your gorgeous little Minou is doing. I know how much she means to you. She's obviously make of the 'tough stuff'. Much love and hugs to you and Minou. Oh dear, I think you'd best give all the 'others' a hug from me too, else you'll probably have a cat fight on your hands, haha.
