Thanks for all the prayers. My son is on American soil, home safe from Afgan. Will be in New Jersey for 1 wk. then home to his wife. I hope the baby doesn't arrive until he gets home.

62461I'm so happy for you and your family! My 3rd child literally waited for daddy to come home from a trip. I had Braxton Hicks contractions for 3 or 4 nights until the night he came home. Then same contractions but gave birth!

My son is STILL in New Jersey. No baby yet either. Must really be holding on for daddy to get home.

Due date for baby is the 18th, but it is her 1st. So I'm sure it will be any day. Thank you for the prayers.

Hey, the Army is great, too! I grew up next door to a boy who became a Brigadier General in the Army some years ago, and was in Iraq. Perhaps your son might know of a James Dubik, I believe he just retired not long ago. Hugs, Marji

Yes, let's all keep praying for those still there protecting us. His homecoming is bitter sweet. He will be going to the family home of the solider that was killed to pay his respect. My son was grazed by a bullet but his buddy next to him was killed. I was horrified when I got the news, I just can't imagine what the other family went through. God bless them. I'm sure the soon to be birth of his daughter will help him get through any sadness. Thank you - Mary
