I have a design I made myself, it is formatted in XXX. What happens is when I get to the part of uploading the actual design for embroidering it says "Error" & in red that the design needs to be in 'pes' 'pcs' 'hus' 'xxx', etc. It is in a format (XXX) but I have tried over & over with it telling me it isn't. I don't have it zipped either. I thought it was just like browsing & uploading like a picture... obviously not! What am I doing wrong, I try to take it from different places in "my Documents" & it doesn't work...tears!!!!!!!!!!!

When you upload a design by Cuties, you fill in the name, a short description, then upload the picture of your stitch out in jpg, making sure it is a reasonably small file (>640x640)Then fill in the colour chart, then upload your embroidery design in your format, eg xxx, pes, jef etc, from any folder you have saved it on in your computer.It does not have to be in My Documents, it can be from your desktop, if you have saved it there, temporarily,so you can find it easy.
Also fill in where the artwork came from.
Click upload and it should work.

I've uploaded several design, started in the 'Designs by Cuties' section, never from 'my documents' or so. I just fill in the form; use the colour box when colour is not an issue - like in FSL - type in the numbers if I want the colours I used stated; I've uploaded different formats: DST, jef, pes and vip, but never tried xxx. I don't know what could be the matter, I'm afraid, as I never had problems.

Reg, I went to take a look at what I can see in uploading the files. I haven't done this, so I'm not sure, but it certainly does look like you should be able to browse the same as for a photo, then upload. I use Janome's Digitizer Pro, and all my designs have to be stored in C otherwise the program can't find them. Try moving the design you trying to upload to the C drive, see what happens. I hope someone who has actually uploaded may be able to help you more. Good luck, hugs, Marji

Thankyou, I will check in a few hours. I REALLY have to go to bed mow as it is 5.10am & I haven't gone to bed yet. It's cold here & I have aches and pains with arthritis.
