Beautiful, Beautiful. I just love the colors. I can only imagine how proud your daughter must have been *
Hi Peggy, I don't remember if I've welcomed you - but welcome anyway!
This is a beautiful quilt. My daughter has a King size bed and I made one for her. She knew about it though, but I gave it to her as a housewarming gift which she wasn't expecting and the look on her face was priceless. I am so glad you daughter appreciated all the work that has gone into this heirloom.
Well done, she will cherish this for many years to come.
Love and blessings Chris
Beautiful! Love the way you made her wait. Her surprise was priceless. :)
There was much screaming and jumping up and down, when she realized what it was.. I had wrapped the pillow cases seperate and let her open them first, so first she was just kind of confused, but then it hit her and she started screaming and quickly grabbed the large package and tore into it....then the jumping and screaming.
Peg, this is beautiful, well done and thanks for sharing all your projects with us.

Thank you and I have been having a ball on the cute site. Everyone has been so welcoming what a great place to meet people with the same passions. I have more pictures, but my old computer at home doesn't have a slot to put the camera memory card in, so will have to do it Monday when I get the time at work.
It looks beautiful, here room looks like a showcase room... Also I would like to welcome U to our cute family... R4U both...
Sam :)
Thank you Sam...I know I am going to spend many happy hours here. I love being a mom, it has been my life and my kids do appriceate anything and everything I do for them...so I am very blessed
Oh, One more part to the story, she said she would redo her entire room if she got the quilt and by the second week of January she had re-painted bought a new rug and curtians! And where she seldom made her bed in the mornings, she gets it made almost daiy since the quilt.
Way to go Mom! what a way to get kids to make their beds... He he he
Sam ;)

Mary, sounds like you really enjoy traveling with your husband, that is so nice...but how do you not prick your finger had stitching in the truck. I used to cross stitch in the car, but that was a blunt needle and going between the linen fibers....I am afraid I would have bloody stubs with in the first 50 miles! Have a great trip and talk to you when you get back.
That is just simply GORGEOUS. No wonder your daughter wanted it. Beautiful work for your first quilt, my hat is off to you. Lynn
