Some downloads include a file labeled "thumb". What is this and do I need to download this file for the design to run?

I save all my thumbs in a file after I rename it the same as the embroidery file and before sending the emb file to the external hard drive..The thumbs can be viewed easily if you have an iconizer or even a photo viewer on your computer. This saves me time when looking for a design..I often wonder how everyone organizes their files..This just gives me a clearer image of the actual design

nouveau, I'm almost certain (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), a 'thumb' file is just a database file for pictures. You don't need it, you can't view the design from it, so you can just ignore it. Love and hugs sweetie and have a good day/night.

nouveau, I have seen no need for that file - I can't load it into any of my photo programs and I have never had any trouble with my designs when I have deleted it, either. *4U

I would assume that is a "thumbnail" photo of the design, so you can see what it is if you don't have software to look at it. The design will run without it, but you might want it for your own reference, to see colors, etc. Hugs, Marji
