Mary already told you what I was going to tell you to do. Lots of sites have applique shapes pick one and go crazy.lol have fun
Thankyou cuties for you help,im off to play ,big hugs and flowers.
You could do a simple one with felt. Embroider your name. Add designs if you want. Most machines have frame borders that you can use too. You could buy the plastic name tags that are made to slip a paper in. They already have pins attached in back and are easy to find at office supply stores. (Buy the plastic name tag first so you know what size to make it.)
Thankyou sewmom,Oh what a great idea, forgotten that i have one,a plastic name tag holder will keep the tag cleen.
oh my where should i start on this i would have a name tag for every season there is lol i am sure simplyrosie would love if u used her fsl teplate in designs by cuties and add whatever u wanted to them
MM we are nearly into spring, thats a great idea,i can see that i shall have a few to wear. Will need to make a FSL box to store them.hehehe
Oh Heather, don't feel silly, these things happen - besides it gave you the chance to see what they can do before you show them what you can do. Where abouts in the car did you stand your machine? If in the boot, it might have been too hard a ride, or it might have been sliding about and got bumped. I always sit mine on the back seat - with the seatbelt and some padding around it to make sure it doesn't move. Also, make sure that it isn't in the sunshine, they don't seem to like that.
You could make your name tag as plain or as fancy as you like. For me, a fancy border with my name in a decorative, but readable, font would be good. Hope all this helps sweetie, love and hugs.
Thanks Ruthie it was a great day, have told everyone to join cute. Lots of talented ladies there, spent the day having lots of cupas. I have a sewing machine bag with wheels,i strap it into the seatbelt on the backseat. It was a tension problem, threading up under the bobbin in a birds nest. My dealer got onto it and only had the machine for a week. Have had good replys on name tags will try them all out.
If I had to make a name badge I would use one of the FSL templates here on Cuties. Then just embroider your name on top of it! You can pin with a safety pin or glue a real pin on. Glad your machine is home, many blessings of fun days ahead at your club.
That is what I was going to suggest too. :) You beat me to it cinderoak.:) She could make two - one without name. Glue small round magnets where her name is so they won't show. Then she wouldn't need pins.
The name badge needs to be pinned to our top each week,if this helps.thankyou.
