Me with allergies I would use cotton flannel just in case it needs to be hypoallerginic. Also easy to wash if needed.
I think you got good advice on the material, Michelle, I just want to say I think this is very nice for you to do for the children, and it was very nice for Martine to give us the bunny so we could do things like this. Thank you all for being such giving people! Hugs, Marji
If you use the minky, don't get the one with the little "bumps" in it. Get the plain. I made a bunny with the bumpy one & my machine didn't like those little bumps!
I used fleece for three and polo shirt material for one, both worked fine. I am about to start one on a remnant of stretch baby velours (like minky) and think that will no doubt work as well. Have fun.
I like fleece modo. It's so soft, children like the feel of it & it does wash well. *
I made one with a peace of fleece. You can look in the projects where I posted a pic of it. Modo it was very much fun to make this. But I think you can use cotton, old towels and many more materials.
Great idea to make these give aways for the hospital.
SOFT...terry, light weight fleece, quilters cotton (gingham) or IF you have a lil $$$ then get some MINKY...
Oh I love minky... ! I may be 40, but I'm definitely a young girl at heart... love m stuffed animals.
