Oh my goodness, I am so glad that I am genuinly not a hoarder. They will have some things to get rid of, but luckily not quite as much. Some of our furniture they would think about, like a 100 year old bench, a very old restored Singer machine, and a few others passed on over the years. Glad I will not be here to see what they do though. LoL

I guess I had better start getting rid of stuff!! If I don't, my kids will someday be saying " Mom was a pack rat"!! Unbelievable the amount of stuff we all collect.!!

Well--this is one estate that the kids won't be fighting over! They will be fighting over who has to get rid of it! They will probably dump it at my Moms, after failing to sell it on Ebay or Craig' list. That's the way I like it, and how I brought them up--peace and harmony. Now my DH's garage stuff--that's a different story--look out--World War III!

My son will keep some personal stuff of mine, or maybe sell some...my daughter will throw everything away, LOL.

I have asked my kids to take anything they wanted for their house. Not one thing is gone, they all have different tastes than we have.Forty-plus years of collecting, and they will no doubt sell it all. The only one I can see keeping something ,is my daughter, for her daughter.

WOW that is impressive. I don't think I have anywhere near that much stuff. Thank goodness.

simplyrosie by simplyrosie 20 Aug 2009

Fabulous!! What a great thing to do for his Mom!! Wish I could have done this with my parents' stuff. It makes a piece of history, what was important to a woman's life. Brava, old lady, whoever you were!!! By the way, I have more stuff, anyway. Hee hee hee, hugs, Marji
