This would make a wonderful quilt with more monkeys or even different animals and yes a great wall hanging. ***4U.
Or baby quilt and wall hangings....It is very cute and would sweet in a baby's room no matter waht you did with it. Great Job! Peggy
How fun! I have been curious about the stippling, can you share with me if it was difficult to hoop? I am new to embroidering and it is a bit intimidating. Congratulations! Thank you for sharing!
No, not really. Hooping always seems to be the most difficult part, I think. Lining it up and getting it exactly where you want it. I took my fabric of choice, one layer of cotton type batting, and the stabelizer, opened the hoop up a good bit and hooped it. It stitched through all 3 layers just beautifully. I saw no difference. It was not as poofy when done though as I had expected it to be.
Give it a try and see what you think. Susan
If you were looking for more of a trapunto look, you would need to stitch aroung the monkeys head then remove it and trip away all the batting except the head area. then re-hoop, maybe spray additional batting with the basting spray apply it and stitch around the head again and then do you stippling. That is how they get the trapunto to really pop up. Hope that helps. This is just a quick description of style, I would look it up and get the actual instructions... As I am NO expert. Peggy
It's a lovely monkey and it makes a great potholder. I also think it would be wonderful to use in a wall hanging.
It looks great, congratulations on the news about your new Grand baby. It will look great as a wall hanging. *4u
