no problem here we all make mistakes from time to time. No one is perfect. There are bigger problems in the world to worry about. Love to all
Yes, yes, yes. We have the correct tabs now, so we need to post correctly.
Forgive my boldness as I am definitely a newbie but I have to agree! I love the personal tab as it has revealed to me the character of so many wonderful Cuties. I am thankful it is open to nonmembers, if it wasn't I wouldn't have the privilege of praying for the needs of those who post. It builds relationships, encourages and strengthens those whose walk may be challenging. Perhaps the front page isn't the place and a reminder in order, but may grace avail the desired outcome for love conquers all!
Awww shucks Maria, I forgive you sweetie, haha. I agree with what the others are saying, that unless you want the rest of the world to know your business, don't post it here. Maybe we need to have the 'Personal' section for members only. What do others think? Love and hugs to you all, have a fantastic day/night everyone.
Maria, if you mean we have a 'members only' in the Personal section - then we don't have it. I'm talking about maybe needing a section where only logged-in members can have access to even read. You do have to be logged-in to post, but anyone in the world can access all of the posts in this area if they only want to read. Love and hugs sweetie, take care.
I was thinking the same thing. We all have problems but this tab is for questions on embroidery. I hope cuties understand that sometimes we don't have a lot of time and to have to go through posts that don't belong in this tab takes time. Sometimes it doesn't matter as much but when you are short on time it does. Hope I have not offended anyone. *4U
Maria, I agree with you, otherwise there is no point having a personal tab that generously Ms Veronika gave to us. I'm so glad the freebies matter is solved now, we are about to be a happy family again. :) Love and blessings, Yoriko
That is so very true - this section of the community should be left for our craft: sewing, embroidery, quilting and etc. All we can do is help each other know that is what we want here and to repsond in a way - that they understand that they have posted in the wrong section, if they do. And as the others have said - anyone can view - any part of the community, except the private message area, which pertains to just those that have their screen name inserted by the person making the original post. If you don't want the world reading about your ins and outs of things going on in your life - they shouldn't be posted anywhere on this site, IMHO. You don't even need to have a screen name to come to the site and read anything and everything that is posted. The screen name allows you to download designs and make postings and partcipate in the community, but it doesn't bar others from reading anything written. Maria, thank you for bringing this to the community. *4U
You're right Maria, it would be a good idea to remember that everything written here in the Public forum can be seen by anyone anywhere without even having to sign in or have a screen name. People come here from all over the world, to look for embroidery help. I know I would not be comfortable sharing a lot of personal things with the rest of the world, that's why I put things in the Personal tab. I just want to share with Cuties who go there and care about me. Thanks for the reminder, Maria. Big hugs, Marji
I may be wrong but I believe any of the tabs can be seen by anyone. I believe the PM message area can only be seen by the persons listed. However, I'm not sure they couldn't be accessed by anyone in some manner through a search????
I entered my user name in Alta Vista search, and this site came up, along with one from IStockPhoto. It's pretty easy from here to see all of my posts, without logging in.
Yes, indeed, everything can be seen except the private messages. It's just that the site defaults to Public, so you don't see the Personal unless you purposely go there. Since a lot of us don't know how to use the tabs, I'm just assuming maybe others won't, or won't bother. It's no real protection, but at least doesn't hit you as soon as you come to the site. Didn't mean to mislead anyone. Hugs, Marji
