what an interesting question. As I was reading below all the answers, I realized I do not remember these. Guess I was too busy during those years raising my kids!! I did not have a clew either as to how they were used. Thank you for bringing this up. *4u
That will be a great gift for my teen nice when I use an ugly skull with glitter thread, in the pupular Ed Harris tattoo style.
Old aunty will be top with this.
Isn't it wonderful to see how old ideas are recycled too?
Well I just read everyone's answers. I've got some that were made in the 70s & early eighuyties. I used to buy tabs & earrings to match at craft shows. Some were made from a hard substance like clay & paper mache they were made from several different kinds of mediums. I liked them * We need one of our digitizers to do an ITH one for us so we can use any color fabric we want.
Tee shirt tabs give a neater look than when u tie a knott (for a knott it has to be very striched)
I had forgotten about these and how they were used. Thanks for the question. H&*.
I saw the Tshirt Tabs and was also wandering about it. BUT: One Q: Why is it that some-one always let us go back in time, and then the memories is so bright, and I wish that it could be those days again. Thanks for remembered the good old days. Hugs Marie.
They can also be used for napkin holders, & pony tail holders. I made a set to be used as napkin holders, that matched the placemats, that I made for my DIL, & everyone wants to know where she got them. But she won't tell (Says they are one of a kind) My grdaughters use them to hold their long hair back. Envy of all their friends (They also won't tell) Pat
Well well well. With all the replies to ur question, it took me down memory lane.
Oh how I remember them from yester year............I think all the girls wore them. Most things are coming back from the 50's and 60's time.
Gosh so that's what they are- thank you for your help though I can't remember these in the 60's.....thought I was a real groover but missed out on this fashion statement ggggg- one with 'Cutie'on it would be wonderful.
I saw this a while back - remembered it because it was the sort of thing my mum used to wear! There is a picture of how to use them here.
It does look a lot like the plastic belt buckle things we used to use. My girls just pull their t-shirts together at the back bottom of the shirt or front side and tie it with a hair elastic. It's very cool especially when you have big baggy PE shirts.
Good for you minicow...I was going to ask the same question.****
Never heard of them, but might be a question to ask the site you saw it on - Hehehe!
I found a picture of them at the artistic thread works site. You pull up a corner of your tshirt and run it thru these tabs. Google tshirt tabs and it will take you to the site. I think this is something people did in the 60s Wish I could say that was before my time LOL!.

Oh, fooey, it was that long ago? Um, I think I still have a couple in my drawer. Big round circle, bar across the middle. Are you really SURE it was the 60's? Eeessshhh. I think I'm old.
I'll bet they were in fashion in the 60's,went out of style came back in the 80's, went out of style, came back in 2009.Everything old is new again. Look for them again in 2020.

Funny thing! I had joted down a note to ask that very same question. I saw them on Designbysick.com also.
