When embroidering Lace do I need special bobbin thread to match or do I use the same embroidery thread as the top

Is it the same colour for the 2 or the same size 40 or 60 ?

I use the same thread in bobbin, but if I use Metalic thread, I match the bobbin with a colour embroidery thread.

That is good thing to remember i forgot to tell Moyed. Never Never put metalic thread in the bobbin!
