I live in the UK & I have travelled quite a lot but i only visited US 1 time & that was Wiscontin nr Chicago - I would love to go again but to lots of differnt States - everything is sooo different in the US than it is in UK
I love the tropics, I abhor cold weather but have found at my age there is no place like home. *4U
Bunnylane, thank you for asking. I have been fortunate to see a few places myself. My favourite being, Italy in springtime, all those trees in bloom are awesome and Venice I found to be a fascinating and beautiful place. My dream holidays would be a few nights in the Egyptian desert, I heard the sunsets there are stunning and a few nights in the Northern Hemisphere to see the Aurora borealis.
I have travel a little and my favorite place so far has been Italy. I have see
England, Paris,Holland,Switzerland,Germany and all the surrounding area between them. I would love to see either Austrailia or Spain. If I won the lottery i would come visit you all. Oh well if wishes could come true.
I would like to go to Egypt. I've always been interested in Egypt culture. And I have an Egyptian son-in-law now too.
Egypt is my favorite country - I just love it - so interesting & you will love whats in the red sea - beautiful exotic fish & corals moving all around you - I would recommend to everybody
I, too, have traveled a lot. But, my very, very favorite places were #1) the Seychelles; and 2) Scotland. I have visited 40 of the States in the USA.
Countries and places I have visited East to West: Ireland, Scotland, England, Holland, Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Cypress, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong-Kong,Singapore, Japan . . .and of course, the Seychelles. Have never been to Austraila or Africa and also need to visit Alaska and the New England states.
Sandy, were those the days before your computer called you constantly to D/L? Our last trip before retirement will perhaps be Spain, but because it will be the last, I will not be able to choose...
I lived overseas for 22 years so got to travel a lot. I did forget to add Canada, Alberta, Quebec, etc. I spent a lot of time on the computer making travel arrangements.
I absolutely love Spain but would not travel to the coastline unless you don't mind crowds. My husband's family originated northwest of Madrid so we got to visit a Castle there with the family name. Yeah, a Castle - a very, very, very small Castle. We have NO royalty in our family . . .
I've been fortunate and am privileged to have been to Paris, London, Rome, Monacco, Venice, Dubai, Crete, Santorini, Mauritius. Have very fond memories of all, but Venice and Santorini stands out. Wouldn't it be wonderful to go on such world wide trip as Marji suggested here and visit you all!
For game viewing, nothing can compare to Botswana, sorry South Africans (I'm one) but not even South Africa!
I would live to go to each of the 50 states. I have always wanted to do see this big lovely land we live in called America. Then the rest of the world - to drop in on all my CUTE family. *4U
If I won the lottery, I would take a "Cutie" trip! I'd start in Australia, Japan, South Africa, France, England, the Netherlands, Germany, all the places Cuties are, and end up wherever Veronika is, and give her a big hug in person!! Wouldn't that just be such fun? I've traveled a lot, but Australia is one place I'd love to spend some time. Luckily I get to do so on the Discovery Channel, anyway. Hugs, Marji
