Hi, here is an other link with tutorials for 4D
http://linsews.com/
I have the same program and Im still trying to figure some things out. I have been harassing the local dealer for tips, luckily she has know me for awhile... hehehe! I'm interested on finding out more as well.
http://www.vsmsoftware.net/educat... and http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/CompuSewwi thJan/files/ are two places. Also you should get newsletters when you register your software. The book that comes with the software is pretty good. I also call the place where I purchased the software. When I have a problem and want to figure out a problem, usually someone can answer the question. My dealer no longer gives free lessions and I have had to learn the 4 D by my self. If I pay for lessions I have no funds for doing embroidery, I choose to learn on my own. Hope this helps. Judith Crocker
Hi Judith.
Thanks for all the advice. I have worked through the tutorials and books that we got with the software but I am looking for additional info... to explain my mistakes !!!!
I agree - I would rather spend money on embroidery threads etc....
Hello and welcome to Cute.
If you sign up/register at Husqvarner Viking you should receive an email with help on digitising with 4D software. Perhaps you could write to them at this address 4D Software Newsletter [info@4dnewsletter.com]
Hope this helps, hugs n roses, Meganne
Good idea - why didn't I think of that ??? All the cuties have been so wonderful and helpful - especially now I know how to see the answers to my questions!!!
at embroidery.com they have e-classes you can take. If you live near your dealer see what they have.
Unfortunately I now live 6000 miles away from my dealer and the local dealers have just closed shop - sigh.... how annoying! I will try the e-classes
Glad you got some answers, I just wanted to welcome you to Cute community!! Having 7 cats and a dog, I can identify with your screen name, hee hee hee, love it! Hugs, Marji

Hi and welcome to Cute. I do like your name
Thanks.
It was a nickname from my little brother that I have never grown out of!!!
Your software has a number of tutorials on the installation disk, but you'll find good tips and tutorials for 3D/4D at the following site.
Thank you so much for the link. I was not familiar with this one. It looks like a lot of information here.
A good question and you got your answer. I have 4D and one of these days want to get into it more. They sell lesson on cd . I have one and I want to get the other when money is available. Let us know how you do ok?
Cool. I really want to digitise some designs to give back to the ladies that so graciously give to us all the time
Fleabag, welcome to Cute! When you click on the Start button (bottom left corner), Programs, select Embroidery System, then, in that folder there should be a few options and one of the lower selections should be a Tutorials file where you could chose between customizing or digitising lessons. A nice demo video to watch or you can print the instructions as well, make sure you have plenty of paper if you chose that option. Hope this was helpfull. Hugs Vix!
Thanks Vix.
I have worked through all the tutorials but am still having problems and can't seem to work them out - very frustrating. I am going to try these other websites and maybe will see where I am going wrong.
Watch this space
Well, I will join the audience. Welcome, anyway.;)
fleabag, WELCOME to the CUTE family - someone will be along and I will watch for the answers for this - as I have my Mother's software - that I need to learn on, too. Hehehe! *4U Shirlene
Thanks so much. Sorry but I have only just worked out how to get back to my question - thats to Yvonne!
Thanks to all that are so welcoming...
