Elephants: biggest body build in Africa!

Zebras: Literally 1000's (approx. 25 000) migrate from driest areas to Okavango delta
Fana: Now 2yr old, should have taken photos of him with ITH Bunny and toys. He wanted his mom to tie the ITH bunny on his back! We treat him as our own, and I get very tearful to think that I might soon have to leave him and his mother to return to SA! (As I wright this to you, I'm again crying! and have to fetch a tissue)

Dear Suzette--These are beautiful photos, but left me wanting to know more of your story. Is this your home now, and why might you have to leave? How did you come about settling there?

Suzette, thank you so much for posting these photos! They are just lovely. I so enjoy seeing the photos people take of their homes and places they are visiting, so different from my home! I think it's so cute Fana wanted the bunny tied onto his back, hee hee hee. I hope you don't have to leave him and his mother any time soon. Hugs, Marji

Great pictures! Tks for sharing!! We went to Kenya couple years ago on a mission trip. Were in Narok (am probably not spelling that right!) working at the Hope Centers in that area as well as taking the "story cloth" out into the bush. Another world, for sure. But LOVED it! We DID take a one day trip to a game "park" & loved that too!! But I didn't know elephants were so dangerous! They had killed about 50 people that year in the area where we were. That little Fana is a doll! I bet he loves your blond hair!

Africa has always drawn me, and my Mum before me, to it. My Darling Mumsie would read every book she could find about Africa and I watch every documentary that comes on cable. Just recently my youngest son wanted to travel to Africa with his wife and children and stay for six months, but another Cutie advised against it.
Maybe our past lives are linked to Africa????

That beautiful child would steal even the toughest heart and my Heavens but the Majestic elephants absolutely mesmerise me. Maybe one day I will do my longed for safari, or maybe in my next life.
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs n roses, Meganne

I can't seem to leave this page. I keep going back and looking at each picture over again. This is so beautiful in a different way than we see it here in the "Big City". This type of show on T.V. always captures me when it comes on. I would love to be able to travel and see these animals and people and the land they live in/on first hand. I feel like I have missed so much, never leaving the U.S. Of course, I still think Tennessee is the most beautiful place I have ever been. I have traveled all over the U.S. but fell in love with Tn. I told my son for many years that I wanted my ashes strowed over the Smokey Mountains in Seveire County,Tn. but have since changed my mind about that. Thanks so much for these wonderful pictures! Linda

Suzette, I almost feel like crying with you. There is nothing like the African sun shining over proud troops of Zebra, and other beautifull animals living in the wild. And I am so sure you agree, that there is just nothing more beautifull than a African child. Hope you will be able to keep contact with his mother and him. Sterkte vir jou. God bless. Marietta

Suzette I always wanted to visit Botswana. Should perhaps do it b4 u return to SA permanently. I even watched the inauguration of Ghama when he become president.(or is PM)Pity though that we here in SA do not have the same crime-free life u have there.

I am glad you've also seen photo's of South Africa! I am a South African citizen. These are from a neighbouring country (Botswana) - currency (and economy)strongest in Africa - stronger than South Africa
