Just a thought, could you not use fabric type WSS?
I would probably try using a layer top and bottom and I would also use 90wt thread for both needle and bobbin. I would also use an 11/75 needle. After stitching and washing I would then apply an iron on soft invisible mesh.
Alternatively, you could use the mesh underneath before stitching and use WSS fabric on top plus the 90wt threads and 11/75 needle.
Before trying any of this did you check out the stitching tutorials on Embroidery Library? Link Below.
I just checked and they do have one for embroidering on pique, so you may have to ignore my suggestions. LOL!!!

Thank you; I have been a fan of Emb.Library for over a yr & that is where I got my info, but of course they don't use Personalize & Stitch!!
Thanks
Yikes. I fear that the problem may be that it is a "Personalize and Stitch" font, since I have found those to be rather dense to stitch out and you won't be able to adequately stabilize the design without the stabilizer showing through the shirt. Maybe if you do two layers of the sheer, making sure to lay them so that the "grain" runs in perpendicular lines, you will have better luck. I hope so, since it would be very disappointing to not be able to complete your project to your satisfaction. =[
I think you have come up with the answer!I have spent over 18yrs all toll, trying to solve; I have 80 shirts to do for the school system & have to find an immediate & inexpensive answer. Working on problem right now..thanks
actually, I meant 17 hrs. (just had a little dog come up and say hi, so I mis-typed!!
maddierae, WELCOME to the CUTE family - I would have thought the mesh cut-away was the way to go - perhaps two layers might have work. *4U
maddierae, I'm sorry I don't have any help for you, but just wanted to say a big welcome to 'Cute'. We'd love you to join in with us on a regular basis. Love and hugs sweetie, and keep checking back here, someone will come along with a useful answer.
