Mine is the "Dragon's Den" as I am a dragon lover.
I have a pretty good collection and I search for all the dragon embroidery designs I can find. :o)
My hubby tells me to go "to my hole" I have a 10x20 office I use for my photography , stereo, cookbooks and computer, then the spare bedroom is the sewing room. MY house just isn't big enough for all my "stuff" LOL
Wild Thing you make my heart sing! you make everything groovy! To my DH I am a wild woman. I did have space in the downstairs bedroom but youngest son graduated from college this spring and is now living at home again. So now I have everything in the dinning room which is only 12 x 12. My dinning room table has now become by cutting space, ironing space, and when it is time to eat I move my stash to the chairs. This is fun to see all the names. *4 everyone from WILD THING.

My hubby calls my area(at the moment) The Dining Room, as I have taken over the dining table & surrounding area with my stuff. I DO have a sewing room which I call "My Toy Room" as I have many different crafts on shelves, tables & floor spaces, etc. Just waiting for my youngest to move out as I share a large bedroom with her & that's one of the reasons I do work on the dining table, I feel I can't intrude on her... especially when her BF is visiting...lol.. nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more!!!!
It is just called "My sewing room". It is off limits to any one other than family. my sweetie keeps saying to go look at that room down the hall and I speak up and say it is off limits, sorry!! I also have a guest bed room that is now off limits. You can no longer see the bed. my KiKi has one special place to snooze and she is good not to leave cat hairs on anything else.
Mine is called "Mums seceret stash room" but it is devided into 2 so the other children that visit can have 1/2 to do their crafting also (and leave a huge mess!!!) but I love it xxx
I haven't got a name for the room it's just: My room. But what about design-place?
Mine is supposed to be a den but it has 3 tables with a computer, serger, babylock and brother embroidery machines and a bernina sewing machine. A cutting table, file cabinet and a glider rocker plus 4 roll carts with thread and other sewing things Closet full of fabric and towels.
mine is called the snake pit or jungle so you can just imagine what it looks like even on it's better day's
I'm laughing . . we've been trying out different names to see how they sound and last night I told my DH that I was headed to the 'snake hole' - don't know where that one came from.
my dh calls it 'the craft room' and it's mine all mine! If I could figure out the camera thingy I'd send pics, maybe some day.....
My Grandchildern name it "Grandsma Magic Room "
And i think i like that name
My hubby built my 15feet x 15 feet sewing room and calls it my getaway. I also have a 12ft square of the car shed for my table which I use to stretch out my quilts I am talking nicely for him to double the size as I want to buy a quilting frame and I have run out of room
My husband just calls it my 'hok', which is Dutch for kennel, pen or sty. It houses my sewing and embroidery machines and supplies, my millenery blocks, my laptops, a printer, books, books and more books; given the mess 'my sty' might be an apt translation.
Well mine was our bedroom, but I have taking completely over the whole back side...The air conditioner is 4 feet away from me (my hubby has it on most of the time and freezes me out)...The back patio door is 4 feet from the other side...Have a huge fan pointing away from me...Its on most of the time to keep the hum of me being awake most of the night...i think we can call it "deanna's Mess"
Thanks for sharing, mine is just my work room. As I have all my machines and computer in here. And my other crafts. - Hugs Yvonne
*4u
Sandy, I call my room my sewing room. But I do have my own computer in there also. Lots of shelves my son built and a couple of cabnets for books and other things.
Sandy, I just call mine - "The Embroidery Room" - both my husband and I share a very large room and we each have PC's - but most of the room is for my embroidery - so why should it be called anything other than what it is used for 18 hours or more of the day???? Hehehe!
That's pretty funny - though we have a large room with our computers that we call 'The War Room' - a friend of ours named it that years ago. I think he thought since we had so many computers set up that we AVOIDED war that way. I wish I had my computer in my sewing room though. And I thought I was bad spending so much time on the computer.
I will have to show you a picture of my room - sometime - I have shared it on CUTE before - so most would be bored with it again. Hehehe! I am glad I have the setup that I do - as I can put a design on to stitch - look for another - for the next project - type a little to the CUTE site and do my email - the only thing I have to do out of the room - is relief myself and eat - or go and do chores or the mundane tasks for the day or night - lol.
My hubby calls mine the hide-away......if he can't find me any where else he will find me in there.
Well, my hubby calls mine "my time out room". At least that is what he tells the grandkids. I too have a separate AC there, but don't have it on most of the time. Right now I would have to call it the diaster. I think that it is time to clean out and downsize some that has been moved into there. Can't see my machine right now. LOL
Since I share my dear hubby's man cave with him, I call my side the "playroom" and yes the thermostat is on MY side!! :)
Not to mention the ceiling fan and the ladies room for fitting! Oh yeah, that's what I am talking about!
Sandy, you've got me laughing here. My husband gave my sewing room the name "Yoriko's cave" :D We did some rearranging, I got my Noren, Japanese style curtain in one of the doors and another curtain to keep the air conditioner just in this room. Yeah, he finally gave me an air conditioner :) So I'm in my private cave most of the time! Love, Yoriko
So cute - I thought I was the only one who needed a separate air conditioner in my sewing room. We must really heat up those machines :-).
