The purse I am talking about is also on the emblibrary website. Look under stitchers showcase and go to summer. Its called Feathered Friend Fashion. Has anyone ever made this purse and do you have another source for the wood handles. I searched everywhere and came up empty. Thanks
Bev
This is a great idea Bev! I would love to see a picture of your handles in the projects section! I have been contemplating making some purses for Christmas but was looking for ways to personalize the designs. We all are looking for items to showcase our embroidery and this is unique! A flower to you along with big thanks and congrats!
Great job - so how many handles have you made with this Gorilla Glue and wood slats? *4U
About 4. Im out of the slats. If you want to see a pic of the purse Im talking about go to www.txbaglady.com and look at the descriptions there. Its a neat purse to embroider on.I had one years ago I got at a craft show and wore it out. I looked everywhere for the pattern and finally found it on ebay. Pattern was 5.00 and handles were 10.00. So I glued two slats together with a cutout wooden heart in between. Worked great,TX bag lady sells her for 40.00 thats why I make my own. LOL.

Congratulations. My husband and I attend the Woodworking in America conferences that Gorilla Glue helps sponsor. I'll have to tell them I 'know' you - we'll be seeing their reps in October when we attend another conference in Valley Forge, PA. We need a pic of you in that new hat.
