Smart Needle has some free applique designs and their appliques stitch out great. Also check out Designs by Juju.

Yeah, look in "Designs By Cuties", there are quite a few appliques there.... look in right hand top corner of this site & chick on that wording... there are pages & pages that people have given free designs for all to use.

Adorableapplique.com was the one site that came into my mind when I read you question. So pleased for you that cinderoak has already recommended it to you. Check Adorable each week, usually on a Thursday, as Veronika regularly offers 1 or more free applique designs.
