To make a crock pot E-Z dinner...place chicken in crock pot (whole/pieces/strips (bone in or out doesn't matter)) cover with a jar of SALSA...your favorite brand!!! LET IT COOK...Several hours (I usually do this first thing in the morning and by lunch/dinner it is perfect) then SERVE over rice OR make Taco's:) I used leftovers to make a quick Chili by adding a can of drained beans and topped with cheese!!

My husband loves to cook, and bake. Tonight he made a peach pie for dinner tomorrow. Being that it is Sunday and the NFL football is on, we will no doubt have something out of the oven. Roast of beef, with potatoes and carrots around it. I love the fall season, when the weather is cool enough to have oven meals again, instead of barbequeing. Lynn

Please let me have the recipe Love Marie

It's very simple. I brown the pork chops, put 2 or 3 on the bottom of a slightly greased dutch oven, put onions and green peppers on, then pour a little barbeque sauce on, then do another layer of pork chops. On top I put more onions and green peppers, add more sauce and then I add a little water. Put the lid on set on coals and add coals to the top of the lid. It takes 1 to 2 hours to cook. You can do other seasonings as well this is just how my family likes them.

Saturdays are generally fend for yourself night. Pancakes, Hot Dogs, burgers, soup...whatever they want to make. Sunday, I always make fried chicken strips with fries of baked potatoes.

I am no longer married or have kids at home but any day that I was off it was my "big time cooking" I used to enjoy fixing big breakfasts, lunchs and dinners, I only cook a little more when my grandkids come over now or any holidays, my younger grandson is a big eater and enojoys everyting I cook and tell me that I am the best Chef in the world...even if it is just a TV dinner!!!

Marie, I love to do the crockpot thing - lol - just brown the meat and pop into the crockpot - later put in veggies and or rice - lovely meal. I also make some really nice salads - with a lot of different veggies - love the variety of crunchy veggies and different salad greens and some crunchy nuts or bread crumbs. Love, Shirlene

I love loading up the crock pot or slow cooker, which ever term you prefer. Frozen chicken, straight from the freezer can be cooked this way and pork ribs fall off the bone. Throw corn on the cob, shucked and place in covered shallow dish, cook in the microwave and you just knocked out entree and side. Add a simple salad and you have a meal without cooking. More time for sewing!!!! Ha! Ha!

Yes my husband loves to cook and seeing he is retired and I am not yet.....he does most of the cooking and loves it. His idea not mine. Of course I don't mind at all

maryjo by maryjo 19 Sep 2009

Yes, mine likes to cook so he does it quite often. Usually some kind of baked meat and frozen veggies heated up.It's very simple fare but at least I don't have to do it. Oh and he loves carrot cake so he makes a huge home made carrot cake when the whim strikes him. He also loves to bake cookies and cupcakes with the grandkids!!! (He vacuums the house too!)

shirlener88 by shirlener88 19 Sep 2009

you are very spoiled ladies - that is so wonderful!

bokkieborduur by bokkieborduur 19 Sep 2009

Yes Dick loves to make something to eat sometimes, but not everyday. He spoils me in so many ways, , wash the dishes and make the bed things like that, so I don't mind. it is just weekends. Love Marie.
