didn't come home with me. I have to wait three weeks to pick it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited! I didn't tell dear hubby I was going to buy one, just look. But when they offer no interest and easy payments and you are approved and can afford the payments (there goes my SS checks), then why not. I told DH that it would take me as long to save the money for one as it will take me to save the money and make a payment . . . and this way I get to enjoy it quicker.

This is what I dream of my sewing room to look like. I thought I had a lot of stuff, I will have to show hubby, I don't have much at all. Good going I love it. What kind of thread do u use? Just curious. Sara *'s to you.

marymilf41 by marymilf41 22 Sep 2009

the best thread i have found to use is robison-anton or sulky but the best is RA in the dimond if you hold this thresad to the light you will see that there is no small hairs or burrs on it but hold other brands up and look at them and you will find small burrs or hairs and that is what gives you at lot of breaks in the embroidery along with dull needles i also bought the wooden thread box by madeira that costs $300.00 and i will never buy that agion very pretty colors but the thread breaks a lot so i fugure that i paid this much for a good machine i will buy the best thread so it runs like a dream you know the old saying you get what you pay for and sometimes its not worth it to go cheap i hope this helps you out and thank you i love my sewing room it is also my dream and i am still working on it i have just added a quilt board to pin all my squares to it so that i can stand back and look at them i will upload it in a minute for you to look at enjoy mary

Thanks for the advice about the threads. I have a lot of Sulky and Gutterman - but I bought the 110 spools from DICK and while I have been using it I'm not really happy - it seems the thread is not a consistent size and it will occasionally unravel while sewing. I keep my threads out on a peg board but never thought about covering them. Thanks so much for that tidbit tip. I've copied your e-mail and number just in case. I printed out all the paperwork available on-line and will take it with me on my trip so I have something to entertain me if I get bored looking at the scenery.

This is going to be the longest 3 wks of your life. So in order to make the time past faster, start making your project lists. You can use the time to collect all the materials you'll need to get going as soon as your new baby gets home. Congrats, sounds like you got a great deal. Now if only I could do the same with the AmayaXT!

Just go for it! Time waits for no man. They are giving such incredible deals just to sell things. I got $2000 off the recommended price, all the accessories, etc (except the mega hoop - whatever Viking calls it which I decided I did not need). I told my DH that if I bought now at no interest that at least I would be able to use it while paying instead of doing without while saving money to pay cash. Can't beat that with a stick. I can't wait.

I've been making lists and stocking up on fabric, etc. I'll be stopping off at every sewing store I see along the way on my upcoming trip.

Like Thumper said - I'm twitterpated.

Congratulations Sandy - I have the Designer 1 and the Husqvarna Quilting Sewing machine with the Reader/Writer cards - the diamond was way too expensive.

Can't wait to see your work submitted in the projects section.

Love and blessings Chris
