sandy you will love it i have had mine from the first day they were released it is love at first try i still learn something new every day but the only thing i can say is (DO NOT USE CHEAP THREAD IT WILL SPIT IT RIGHT BACK AT YOU ) other then that i love it and i did buy the compleat programing with it also and the mega hoop as that is very nice to do large items with i love the fact i can set it and walk away and it will sew all by it self its great i never use the foot pedal i have that put away and just use auto its that easy you will find that you only need one size design as you can make it larger or smaller longer or wider it realy is worth the money if you ever need help right me i will do my best to help you enjoy that baby when you get it mary (dante334125@yahoo.com) 207-538-9876 have fun P.S. This is what I dream of my sewing room to look like. I thought I had a lot of stuff, I will have to show hubby, I don't have much at all. Good going I love it. What kind of thread do u use? Just curious. Sara *'s to you.
the best thread i have found to use is robison-anton or sulky but the best is RA in the dimond if you hold this thresad to the light you will see that there is no small hairs or burrs on it but hold other brands up and look at them and you will find small burrs or hairs and that is what gives you at lot of breaks in the embroidery along with dull needles i also bought the wooden thread box by madeira that costs $300.00 and i will never buy that agion very pretty colors but the thread breaks a lot so i fugure that i paid this much for a good machine i will buy the best thread so it runs like a dream you know the old saying you get what you pay for and sometimes its not worth it to go cheap i hope this helps you out and thank you i love my sewing room it is also my dream and i am still working on it i have just added a quilt board to pin all my squares to it so that i can stand back and look at them i will upload it in a minute for you to look at enjoy mary
Thanks for the advice about the threads. I have a lot of Sulky and Gutterman - but I bought the 110 spools from DICK and while I have been using it I'm not really happy - it seems the thread is not a consistent size and it will occasionally unravel while sewing. I keep my threads out on a peg board but never thought about covering them. Thanks so much for that tidbit tip. I've copied your e-mail and number just in case. I printed out all the paperwork available on-line and will take it with me on my trip so I have something to entertain me if I get bored looking at the scenery.
have lots of fun on the trip as my hubby says that machine better do laundery for that price and cook but he is very amized what i make he always asks i have came up with anything new today just reamber make him a tshirt first thing that way he will fill special enjoy mary
Mary, beautiful sewing room!! Mine looks exactly like this, hee hee hee, NOT!! Hugs, Marji
This is going to be the longest 3 wks of your life. So in order to make the time past faster, start making your project lists. You can use the time to collect all the materials you'll need to get going as soon as your new baby gets home. Congrats, sounds like you got a great deal. Now if only I could do the same with the AmayaXT!
Just go for it! Time waits for no man. They are giving such incredible deals just to sell things. I got $2000 off the recommended price, all the accessories, etc (except the mega hoop - whatever Viking calls it which I decided I did not need). I told my DH that if I bought now at no interest that at least I would be able to use it while paying instead of doing without while saving money to pay cash. Can't beat that with a stick. I can't wait.
I've been making lists and stocking up on fabric, etc. I'll be stopping off at every sewing store I see along the way on my upcoming trip.
Like Thumper said - I'm twitterpated.
congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you. I bet you will be sewing up a storm.
