I have had the last supper embroidery design for some time now and finally got the inspiration to do it after seeing the one posted in projects. I am embroidering it on muslin and will put all the blocks together once they are finished. I want to stretch the final product over canvas and then take it for framing. Now my question is..when I seam all the pieces together which would be the best way to do this and how small can the seams be. I am not a quilter in any sense of the word ...so I need a starting point on this one. Since I will be stretching it I do not want bumps appearing from the seams on the finished product..Any suggestions?

I'm not hep on quilting either, although I have done some. But, I have worked many times with canvas and I do know that if you are careful you could even 'piece' the designs together as you sew . . . sew one block on a large piece and then move the hoop and line it up and sew again. I don't actually think I'd do separate pieces but, then, again I don't know for certain - just my opinion. I think if I were to do this design (and I've had my eye on it for some time) I'd use canvas, stitch as I said above, and then have just the canvas stretched on a frame.

Not so clever with quilting myself, but can you not make use of zigg-zagging, by stitching it together like you would do with FSL. Hope you get a answer soon. I would also like to know what other cuties say.

here it is. I am also worried about the crosses being upside down in the design.. This is going to be for our church..(they are upside down in the framing on the top..am I being to worried over nothing?

Sorry, did not see your blocks, I do not think my method would work here.
