thank you for bringing this up again. I think sometimes there needs to be reminders.
You are right, marji, it would be so convenient to have all the freebies with the freebiestabĀ§Perhaps it is necessary to remind that periodicaly for the new members. Thank you to have done that.****

I had a great response to this, but luckily it wouldn't post. So I'll shut my big mouth and just bring it back to the top.
If it keeps on happening by certain people though, I will speak up.
Dastardly Dudley!!!!
Thanks for bring that up. I also notice it. I liked the change.
I know I did one by accident yesterday. I know I hit freebies but I think my computer was going slow and my fingers were going fast so maybe I was actually still on the wrong page.?
Not pointing fingers, I just saw quite a little rash of postings all together, and wondered if there was some kind of glitch in the way the site was working. Hugs, Marji
I do not believe that it is not laziness, it is quite easy to make a mistake, because when you go into freebees first I found you need to click on freebees again, to see start a topic. If you forget that, what I did once it comes into community.
Also if there is a new person they might not realise. So might have to be explained to them how to do it.
I know when you're in freebie tab, and you hit "back to question list", it takes you to the questions in the public tab, not the freebie tab. That can get a little confusing, trying to get that changed. I didn't know you had to go to freebies twice to see 'start a topic', thanks for the information, Edith. Hugs, Marji
If you go to freebies topic, public tab there is an "ask the community" box. If you go to freebies topic, freebies tab there is a "start a topic" box. Interesting, I didn't realize the difference until I saw edithfarmers post. What is the difference? I don't know for sure except that the first one goes to the general page I think and the second one goes to the proper freebies page.
It's just different wording for the different sections. If you're posting a freebie, a button called 'ask the community' would be confusing. You are 'telling' something, not 'asking' it, so you are 'starting a topic'. Whichever section you're in, whether it's Public, freebies, personal or Private Message, that button over on the top right, whatever it's called in that section, will allow you to post a message in that section only. Did that clear it up any? Let me know, if not, I can maybe do some tutorials with pictures this weekend sometims. Hugs, Marji
