Your Best bet is to join Marie's yahoo group at My Embroidery Haven. In the files, she has given us 54 different applique shapes, I think 5 different sizes. Can't go wrong with these.

I have been away for a few days but from reading your comments below look at
www.sparklebox.co.uk
www.enchantedlearning.com
hopefully these will be of use to you if you are still looking. Both sites will have the shapes, as you will see they are not embroidery sites
I saw some at Bunnycup Designs and My Embroidery Haven. *4U
perhaps you will find some here. these are all simple designs.
I remember getting a lot of those basic shapes from Cassandras!
*4u!

I just realized that my machine has built in embroidery frames with many shapes. Have you checked your built in stitches?
I've got more but silly me didn't copy down where they came from. The initials on the design say Dme. If anybody knows what site or designer that is, please help. (I'll post it for help.)
I'd say the "e" would be for "embroidery", so all you need to figure out is who "DM" is... good luck! So nice of you to help! Hugs, Marji
I think I remember in Designs by Cuties, Martine put in some basic shapes, square, circle, oval--don't remember if they were for applique or not. Good luck, hugs, Marji
Several free applique shapes.
8clawsandapaw yahoo group has some templates for applique. Square, star, heart, and circle.
Are you looking for shapes to then use as a template for applique or ready made embroidery designs?
As a template. I want to pit the shape just a fine line. Like a basting stitch on the page and then cut out the shapes to match.
