you are so wright. here in the Netherlands you get an invitation to go, if you are 50(I thought) or elder. but thanks for this advice.everybody should also examine her own body.but sometimes we don't think of that.so good for bringing this up!
Hope you enjoy this and please, pass it along.
Many women are afraid of their first mammogram, but there is no need to worry. By taking a few minutes each day for a week preceding the exam and doing the following practice exercises, you will be totally prepared for the test, and best of all,you can do these simple practice exercises right in your home.
EXERCISE l: Open your refrigerator door and insert one breast between the door and the main box. Have one of your strongest friends slam the door shut as hard as possible and lean on the door for good measure.
Hold that position for five seconds. Repeat again in case the first time wasn't effective enough.
EXERCISE 2: Visit your garage at 3 AM when the temperature of the cement floor is just perfect. Take off all your clothes and lie comfortably on the floor with one breast wedged under the rear tire of the car. Ask a friend to slowly back the car up until your breast is sufficiently flattened and chilled.
Turn over and repeat for the other breast.
EXERCISE: 3 Freeze two metal bookends overnight. Strip to the waist.
Invite a stranger into the room. Press the bookends against one of your breasts. Smash the bookends together as hard as you can. Set an appointment with the stranger to meet next year and do it again. You are now properly prepared.
Just a thought for all the women out there.'
MENtal illness
MENstrual cramps
MENtal breakdown
MENopause
And when we have real trouble, it's HISterectomy.
Ever notice how all of women's problems start with men?

I know we complain about the discomfort and inconvenience, but believe me, I wish I still had my breasts to have a mammogram!
And if I hadn't had mine when I did, I would not be sitting here writing to you all.
Thank you so much for reminding everyone Jerrilyn.
And PLEASE don't forget to "CLICK" ONCE A DAY, EVERY DAY to help pay for free mammograms for our US sisters, they aren't as fortunate as us Aussies who get them for free once we reach age 50.
Hugs n roses, Meganne

One of my dearest friends father died with breast cancer several years ago. I need to ask my DH if his doctor does a breast tissue exam.......
Good advice. In 2001 I went for my annual check up. They found a pea size lump. Wanted to do more test and I said no because I had plane tickets to visit my Mom in Missouri. Gone 2wks,came back and had more test. By then I had a marble size lump. Was so far behind my breast I would have never felt it. So since I had lost my other breast in 1977 I told the Doctor to just take it off. So it is very important to have those check ups everyone. NOT just the ladies. Mildred
