I don't know if this will help you. But if I "right click" on the jpg and choose "save picture as" I can choose the directory that I want.
I use Vista & I hate. I always get a blue screen of death. I have lost several designs because of it. My PE Design works on it but I had to go to Brother to get an upgrade but it does not work on Vista 64bit. My laptop has 32bit but my new desktop has 64bit. I am hoping that my applicaitons will work with Windows 7. I get a free upgrade with my new desktop. I hate to pay over $200 dollars to upgrade to PE Design 8 not knowing if it works on Vista 64 bit or Windows 7
I am so sorry you had to go to vista. I have never heard anything good about it. Good luck, H&*.

I am having A very hard time figuring out how to save the jpg in the same files as the pes file I put it in...my pictures all want to be saved in my photo xpress file....In xp. I was able to tell it where to go...I cannot figure this one out...
I have vista now also. Replaced xp that decided to die and am learning how to deal with vista. I have embird which worked very nicely on xp but has to be handled quite differently in vista. Maybe someday they will update embird so it will work on vista better.
I had it hated it and converted back because none of my programs worked on it.
