It must be going around. I have become an "empty nester" after 24yrs. My youngest has moved out to be with her boyfriend (she's 18) & middle xhild moved from a flat just up the road to about an hour away the same weekend as the youngest. It is SOOOOOO quiet around here now. I look on the bright side, I may have had the last one leave, but I have gained an area to set up my "sewing & everything craft room". & the other thing is.... they still phone home quite a bit asking for advice & that can happen at least once or more per week. So we aren't totally out of their minds, they still look for us for help.
I hope you cheer up soon, don't forget though.... they still come back to visit & your place seems to stay cleaner for longer...lol.
Take care,
Hugs,
Reggie

Sorry to hear that you are feeling empty. I had the same problem until I got a dog - (she is my spoiled baby now). Also, getting an emboidery machine has kept me busy along with other activities. So, I have adjusted. I really enjoy and appreciate it when they come to visit me or want to do an activity with me!

I suffered this several years ago and it wasn't just not having my kids around. It was the HUGH reduction in the amount of food I needed each week. It was only when my son left that we realised that the consumed 1/2 to 3/4 of the food it the house (and he's as lean as lean can be!). Now that was a shock.
Keep busy and stay happy, we are only loaned our children for they all MUST move on and become independant people.

I am going through the same thing .... but, I am learning the answer to missing them is to stay so busy that you can't think about it!! Good luck, before you know it, the holidays will be here and the house will be full again!! Here is a flower to perk up your day!*

I'm sorry you are experiencing this! I can't imagine not having my kids around. A lot of times, they make me pretty crazy, but I know I'd miss them terribly if they weren't around. Enjoy the time you can spend with your machine!

Well, I am shocked to hear you have an empty nest - but happy to hear that you will be spending more time with your little baby - that means - we get to see more projects. *4U
