I bought some plastic tubing at the hardware store this morning at only 28 cents per foot. I like it much better than the ponytail holders because you can see the thread from the side. I think one could easirly get 48 or more per foot of tubing so it is very economical. Thank you Jofrog for the great suggestion! *4all
I have one of those soft plastic rings that you put the bobbins into. The bobbins don't move, the thread doesn't come off, and if you drop it, you don't have bobbins all over the floor for cats to chase, hee hee hee. I really like it. Hugs, Marji
Check this site for bobbin holders. Keep scrolling down till you come to it. It's by Nancy Zieman. I have one and love it.
I have to laugh! Just got mail from Clotilde.com which is a sewing supply catalog, and she has "bobbin wraps" (aka pony tail holders) at 2.49 for 24! I sure hope everyone has a dollar store near.

I bought these small pony tail holders at a local dollar store. They work great for bobbins. I use the refastenable clear plastic tape for my spools of thread. They work great for either bobbins or spools.
In Australia they are sold at Spotlight. a bit expensive if you have a lot of bobbins. Jofrog what a great idea....why did i not think of that...dah!!!
thank you for your idea!
I use those things you put in your hair to make a pony tail. They are very small and fit perfectly ( and they are very inexpensive).
I use these for my regular thread spools, had used hugo's tape and strips of clear plastic tablecloth which stick to themselves, but it took too long to replace them while sewing. I just find the clear lets me see the thread color , especially on all the ones I use for fsl.
jofrog gave you the best idea, it is how I keep my bobbin threads tidy and it works really well.
hugs n roses, Meganne
thank you Meganne I will go the first chance I get and get some .I can usualey come up with these ideas but this one never crossed my mind.
Buy some clear pastic tubing-like you use for an aquarium-1/2"outside diameter, 3/8"inside. A hardware store should be able to help. Then cut it into slices that will fit inside the bobbin sides. Make one cut on each slice to open it up, and it curves right around on top of the thread to hold it in place. Jo
