Does BRAAI mean cooking meat and vegetables or fruit outside on a grill? BBQ means that PLUS it sometimes refers to beef, pork or chicken meat that is cooked over open flames and has a spicy sauce mixed with it. The meat is then served alone or on a Bun (bread made in a round shape, and split). Some areas serve the barbeque meat with a selection of 5 or more sauces, each particular to a region of the southern part of the USA. (For instance, Texas sauce, North Carolina Sauce {vinegar based} or a sweeter sauce.) These can be amended by adding more Hot Sauce (like the brand 'Texas Pete'), also. The meat is served in one of three ways; pulled, chopped or sliced. Many 'chain' restaurants serve BBQ, and cook it over a large grill outside. Everyone who lives in the southern part of the USA probably has their own favorite; mine is pulled pork, without additional sauce, from a local small restaurant called the 'Houndstooth', which is decorated in Fox and Hounds style with antique furnishings.
After saying all of this, I thank you for making these additional embossed designs for us to put onto towels, aprons, etc. I'm imagining putting the BBQ one onto small colorful (maybe red) handtowels, to used instead of napkins at our next BBQ party.
*4u!
