I have used Truro Fabrics and Fabricland, in the UK.
Truro do not have a website but are very helpful on the phone, for special requests.
Fabricland have a website and you can order on line, I have done so successfully.
Some of thte Sewing Magazines in the UK have alot of adverts in the back, maybe this will help.

Thank you for your answers, I shall try all of them ! Sorry for the delay, I couldn't find my question again which I asked yesterday evening, here in the uk !
Thinking of it, I did see some advert but it looked like it was materials for curtains. I've never ordered materials but I will try.

I shall mark this question as I will be inerested in the answer too. There are so few good fabric shops here in the UK. And oh yes I do turn green with envy when I read about the shops in the US. I wish! But then my purse would be empty :0).
