Thanks so much for sharing Shirlene! I must admit that it made me homesick to hear the elk bugling. I'm a Colorado native. I still have family there that go hunting every year. Personally, I'd rather watch them than hunt them; but this is a little TOO close for comfort. Perhaps a case of man invading their habitat ??? ***
We live where the deer get terribly agressive during the rutting season. They have hurt 2 of our dogs, and once ran toward me and a little boy that was visting. They just go nuts!
Thanks, I used to live near an estate with a deer herd. when the rutting season was on the public were told to stay away from the deer. This showed lots of people nearby and elk are larger/more dangerous than deer. My cat enjoyed watching too
I wonder how many people get hurt each year. Like the joggers or the guys with cameras. Too close for comfort for me LOL

What magnificent animals! But who would have thought a huge elk would 'whistle', or make noises like a baby piggie? Sheesh. Guess the lady elk like it, though, hee hee hee. Thanks, Shirlene! Hugs, Marji
