Take care and ask a lot of questions to the M.D. if you don't feel confident with their response go seek out a specialist. I have heard of this disorder but don't know a lot about it. Search the net to find what causes it and what you can do to help yourself. Ask questions, a lot of time if you don't ask some doctors I believe just think you know what they do, and don't offer a lot of information.. Good luck and let us know how u r doing.Prayers for you Sara

Ronny, my brother had this same trouble a few years ago - he did have to go on a special diet to help control it and I believe there was some meds or herbs involved, too. I never really asked many questions, because he wouldn't talk about it - I was on the other side of the country at the time and was limited to hearing through my Mother mostly and she never understood what the trouble ever was. I will pray for you and please do as the doctor's suggest. *4U

Dear Ronny, I had nephritis when I was 7, the doctors didnt give hopes for me to survive. My parents were so worried. I still remember the days I spent in a hospital, and all the restricted diet, medicines and recommendations. I couldnt recognize myself so disformed I became :) There was no salt at all in the food, and no physical moviments, just resting. It took 3 months to start having a normal life, school that time :) I think the medical science is better nowadays, but please follow the doctors orders. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Yoriko

Hi Ronny,

Was interested as I suffer from swollen ankles for some 25 years now. Last time I had a blood test had to have another one as the doctor was worried about kidneys to my amazement. Never heard the word nephritis before, but if you punch it in on line you get lots of results what it is etc. Some might need antibiotics I see.
Have a good look and would question doctor a bit more about this and what would help you.
Good luck
Hugs Edith

That sounds serious Ronny, did he give you any dietary advise or medication? I hope and pray something can be done to better your condition. God bless you.
