Go to rnkdistributing at this link and click on the stabilizer workbook. It is a handy reference to keep with your machine. You do not need to use Floriani products to take advantage of this wonderful reference. You will see, you can embroider on just about anything as long as you stabilize it correctly.
chenille, it really depends on the design - I have many - that are dense, too. I have found that as long as there is enough stabilizer on top and bottom - that the design stitches out great - whose designs are you wanting to stitch out? Not sure that stitching anything dense on silk is recommended. What did the magizine suggest? *4U
Shirline, a lot of my designs are from embroidery library...I just love some of the intricate ones, but since I nearly disabled my "little machine" (wrong needle, etc) I am afaraid to try on my new "bigger machine". There is no dealer near here if I should mess up!
The magazine was an older issue of Threads and the garment was a wedding dress train...at the time I did not notice any suggestions, just saw the results and story...was in a waiting room at the time so can't remember the details. Thanks for your interest,I really appreciate the input! *4U
