Does anyone know the thread to embroider bear skin, then brush the skin part and it will turn fury? Just can remember where I saw long time ago. Thanks in advance.

Today, I went to Birmingham and brought 6 spools. Will try the coming week.

Here it's called Madeira Burmilana, it's not a 'normal' 40 thread, but a #12, so it needs a needle with a larger eye and a not to dense design. It is an acryl/wool mix, so it stands up to washing. I use a small copper-wire brush, obtainable from any hardware store.

Here is a picture of a bear I stitched in Madeira Lana. You need to use a needle with a larger eye, but stitch it as normal.
If you don't have a Madeira Lana brush, a bit of the rough piece of Velcro works fine.
And you can brush it until you are happy with the result.
