Is it the pattern or my thread... last night I stitched out some things very nicely!

Thanks!!

I would go with the Idea of changing your needle! I often have the same issue and a needle change will usually take care of the problem. I think that since FSL designs are dense, and the needle has to go through the design so many times, it dulls the needle fairly quickly. I hope that it works for you!

Thanks all, the thread does fray badly but then the design is heavily dense because of the snow flake design. I did a lovely Cute Fairy by Yoriko and it stitched out beautifully, same needle and thread! I'm thinking that some designers do their work without testing them and we get the headache... ho hum

I have had all the problems family listed below in the past. They have told you all the solutions I learned the hard way. I do not tighten my tenion for FSL. Many times it is the needle, or not enough stabilizer, generally need 2 pieces. H&*.

Most often when this happens to me I find that a new needle will stop the problem. I have not yet tried this design.

Here is another link. I have not tried them yet. Maybe tighten the tension? I tried loosening the tension on a different design and it kept breaking.

Dolly, I am new to FSL, but I tried angels from another site (free) and had the same problem (Art grade C) Then I did the angel from Cuteembroidery, and my machine is currently stitching out the 6th one (Art grade A) and there is NO PROBLEM! I also only use polyester thread. Good luck!

HI

I had my thread breaking for a whole day, and fraying, my husband took apart my machine, and there were some small threads, and a bit of dust, he cleaned it out, and now it is working like a charm... it never happened to me before, breaking all the time, so have a look in the machine first, just to make sure, it is not the problem. I was thinking I was going crazy...or maybe it was my thread, but I had used the thread before. Good luck.

Try with a new needle. Link did not work. I don't have this one so I can't really help.

Oh no. I downloaded it but have not tested it yet. There are some free designs will do that to you. Thanks to let us know.
