Here's a 'real' find, at one garage sale I found these in a bag of mixed sewing notions. I had to have the bag for these!!

That's so cool! I'm surprised that the colors are still so nice ands not faded out!

Thats great, i had a friend leave her hubby about 6 months ago and she gave me a bagfull of nic nacs and there were 13 packs of them @ 27c each also some material that i remember from when i was a kid people had dresses of that kind.

I love the oldies. I have wooden spools from thread that probably cost a nickel. I also have old notions from when relatives passed away. And of course stash from my childhood sewing, so that's at least.... how old now?

I have a shoe box full of the old wooden spools with the thread on them. *

I know u could get them in the 40s. that's was a nice find. Lots of times at Estate Sales I run into things like this. *

Wow, I don't even remember them being that cheap! They must be REALLY old.;)

you lucky girl, that's great.something of the "good old days, and prices of the "good old days"!

Oh, Dolly, how incredible!! Did you find some of my Mom's stash? Hee hee hee, I'd say they were about 40-50 years old, from what I recollect. I used to make my own clothes when I was young, and these look about right. And the packaging is still in beautiful shape. Definitely hold on to these! Hugs, Marji
