OH my, I HATE you people that can do this so beautifully... just kidding!! A lovely piece of work!!
You are the PRO!! Absolutely stunning!!!! *4U, Mary
Gosh this is so pretty!!!!! You did a wonderful job putting the designs together and the stitching is perfect!!!!* Hugs, Laura
Roslyn - can you please let me know what type of fabric you use to do your lovely work? I can not tell if it is linen, or something else. This is so much like the heirloom stitching that our grandmothers did. I want to try some, but no certain what fabric is better to work with. If you could, I would appreciate an answer. Hugs
This fabric is "LINEN" I save all the off cuts ( small tiny pieces of 541-vylene washaway , solvey also can be used ) and dissolve them. Add the material and let dry. Iron well when dry (makes it lovely and stiff without using spray starch -cheaper too) I have used "sun-air-linen" Polly Linen And also some with a fair bit of Polly in it as well. By using the dissolved Wash-a-way I find that it's not slippery when I try to hoop it. Though I must say this cloth and the "Sweetpea Runner" ,I didn't hoop at all. I used basting stitches to hold it to the hooped tear-a-way. Because the lace was sewn on before I did the embroidery and that the hoop would either stretch the lace or damage it. Hope this helps. regards Rossie
Thanks so much. Hopefully this will help this "dumb ole girl" figure out what to do. You have been a great help. I certainly appreciate this. I will sure let you know how it looks.
Very elegant looking and smart the way you cut the fabric away after your design

Beautiful work - I love this type of embroidery. Just too chicken to try it.
Bite the bullet and have a go. You won't be sorry. I measure and measure to make sure it's all even and I use Templates printed from the computer onto paper to make sure the designs are right too
Wow, it's even more impressive in close-up. You did a terrific job on this!
Roslyn, this is so nice! Did you also make the lace? Great job!
Roslyn, this is breath taking - whose design is this lace & floral design? *4 Shirlene
