A file count of my folder tells me that I have over 12,000 embroidery patterns..... Good Lord, did you ever think that you might find that many for free!! I have spend ALL of today just going through those files and am only half way finished. So NO freebies for me until I get finished LOL

Have a good evening, it's already 8pm for me.

I stopped downloading files...a while back. Besides wondering if it will sew out, it was just more practical to get a few really good CD collections from some of the digitizers....that was soo-o-oo smart.

Sometimes less is a good thing. I had a gazillion files on the computer for the embroidery machine, too and I dumped most of them into the trash bin on the computer. Some of the designs were cute, but they sewed out poorly.

It seems that the graphics designs that people "color" in with their software are are great, but the digitizer (in alot of cases) does not do the fill in digitizing very well - and as a result we, the embroiderers, get cranky and have to fuss over the results.

Right now, I am waiting on a new laptop so I can load my digitizing software and play with some original art work......I figure I might get the hang of digitizing by Valentine's Day (rotflol !!!)

I need to get back outside and finish raking the leaves in the front yard....it is beautiful and about 60 degrees here and sunny !

Hi again, I did finish going through ALL files and remembered that not all were freebies. I did have a month's membership with Sick designs and managed to download all of theirs that interested me, so let's cut the count to 10,000. I file new downloads in one folder and every couple of days unzip and sort them. I do add a $price to the end of the filename of those patterns that I purchase and keep that zip file. Any way, I did behin collecting again.... it's impossible not to want them1!

Dolly, you have taken a very good decision, I must do the same, but I fear that I have to spend many years to do that***

It sounds as though you have your work cut out for you!! It will take a while to get them all organized. Good luck with this project. When you are done you can go get more freebies!! LOL

Good luck in your resolve. I don't think I want to stop, although I've gotten much more picky and look and say no thanks much more often.

How brave of you. Maybe just collect the alphas? The obsessive compulsive in me hates to miss a letter.
