If you look through the comments under the letters you will see that some of them were initially dated 731 days ago....quite awhile ago that this alphabet was introduced.
Marji & Linda have given you a wealth of info about cute. We are glad to have you hear & hope you stay around a while. *
The Christmas letters were offered as a whole continuous alphabet two years ago. The members of the SiCK forum went back to start voting on ones people missed when the Happy Winter font was done, that's why it came back up. The free letter of the day depends on the number of votes ANY letter gets that can be voted on, not just the 'current' alphabet. The next letter depends entirely on the number of votes, and ONLY on the number of votes. If you look through all the design categories, and look for the letter or design, you can tell by the dates of the first comments when that design was offered. If you haven't gone looking around the designs on the site, you're missing a lot of great designs, you might decide a membership is worth it. If you can't afford it, the letters can be purchased for $1 each, or just as Linda said, wait to see what happens. Good luck, Marji
Well said Marji. Membership in Cute is one of the best bargains to be had these days. *
I do not think this alpha was one that was scheduled to be on Cute. I just think someone just started voting on the free designs when the Snowman ran out and Veronika did not start a new one right away. I have not been real active with the group as long as some but I think this one might have been run by Veronika before as a whole set. I think I remember getting a few of them when I was just visiting the group every once in a while. It has not been run as a set since I became a full fledged Cute-A-Holic! You can ask some of the group that have been here for a long time about that. My guess is that the full set has been run at one time or another before. I have not seen a full design set run this way since I have been here "full time"! I did start picking up the ones I could use right now as I have a whole new family since my son married last year. It will just keep me from having to look for a whole set that was done a long time ago(if it was). When Veronika runs a new alpha it starts with an A and for the most part stays in line down the letters. We try to vote on the next one in line so we can keep up with what we have and do not have.
There has been some people from another site's forum that has been voting and getting them out of line but it is not the way most of us like to run them. It is too hard to keep up with what you already have if you do not keep them in line! We do not know why this other group has come in and done this but it is confusing. The best thing for you to do is keep what you have sep. from the other alpha designs and when we get to the end of the new one, vote on what letters you need from the Christmas font or just buy what you really nedd. They are very reasonable as individual and even more so if you buy a 6 month subscription to the group. If you do that, you can download everything on the site. I have seen some very pretty designs! I am on a fixed income but my bills are not on a fixed rate and I have no money right now to spend on anything but my reg. bills and my medical bills. My medical bills are out of sight right now. If I was still working, I would have a subscription to all of her sites! You can not beat the price. If I am wrong about this alpha, please forgive but it seems like I remember it from a good while back when I was not a regular.
