Well, cuties family it looks like this is a fight..... I did hear from Bernina rep right away ---- which was impressive---- But he ended up believing the dealership so his solution is for me to go get the machine take it back to the dealership I don't like or trust for her to fix it at 50% of the parts and no labor. Mind you both of these dealerships are approx 30 miles from me. (It will cost me both time and gas money to shuffle the machine). The dealer ship that got me told the Berninia Rep that she gave a "6 month unlimited free service on any preowned machines" - Ha! first time I heard that. She told me I had a "90 day warranty" on the machine and I had to call her back to get that information cause she rushed me out the door. So their solution would leave my guy that is the good dealership out in the cold. I would have to pay him what I owe him approx $140 and then shuffle the machine to her and then give her money too. To me it seems the easiest solution is to let my guy fix it and her pay part of the costs.

Then I read her uppity response to the Better Business Bureau. Oh my, just the highlights....she told them that she asuumed I had more knowledge of sewing equipment than I actually did. I have been operating sewing machines (all brands) since I was 10---- I have never operated or owned an embroidery machine....I told her that and asked for her to show me how it worked and what to do to take care of it. I don't know about you guys but I think an embroidery machine is a world of difference from regular sewing equipment....maybe I am just dumb though...LOL

Then both her and the Bernina rep spoke to my new guy and they put words in his mouth to manipulate me to their solution.....oh my.

I have to respond to the BBB today but I am going to talk to my new Bernina Dealer first before I make my decision as to who will fix my machine. I really think I am going to just have to pay the piper and chalk it up to experience but boy what a way to learn.

I want to thank all of you for your support and great advice. You all cheered me up so much more that you will ever know. It really brings tears to my eyes thinking about all of you.

Love you all, Lyn

About the "sewing too much." I just found out there is a "clock" in the emb. machines that the repairman can check to see how much you use it! That's all brands from what I understand. Then they try to say your using it for "commercial use" and void the warrenty. Somehow, I don't think that's quite right! If you get a machine, it's certainly not to sit around and look pretty!! Hope you get your problem resolved.

Wow...that isn't fair. Who's to judge how much is too much. I had no idea. They figure a way to get you no matter what you do.
