May I ask if it's having the same problem all the time, Heather, and is it tension like most people seem to have trouble with? I have a suspicion that most embroidery machines like to stick with the same brand (and thus thicknes) of thread all the time and when we change, they get the grumps! Someone on another list is also frustrated by hers and does change from one brand to another. Mine tends to behave fairly well when I use the same brand all of the time. I also prefer to use polyester thread rather than rayon as I feel we probably 'pay for what we get' :) Best of luck yours starts being nice to you soon.
Hi thankyou for your post,i agree about good brand threads,it was a tension problem in the beginning, now it sounds like a thrashing machine, funny enought it is stiching very well no loops or the common problems. The dealer i use is very good and is happy to keep searching for the answers to why my machine is doing all the wrong things. This week they are putting in a new hook that sits under the bobbin trace that we replaced last time it was in. My dealer thinks that all will be good after this as he had a couple of machines about two years ago that had the same problem as mine. So i am keeping my fingers crossed that we have a good result this time. cheers Heather.
Heather I hope they can sort it out for you this time. Hugs Yvonne
I'm curious I have had alot of problems with mine I wish I had demanded a new one but left it too late. Can I ask what brand is it? Mine is Janome and has been costing me a fortune in the last few weeks. Yesterday my repairer told me it's getting old? I guess the computer part is but not the machine. I'm just about over this embrodiery may go back to normal sewing.Cheers Julie
Yes this is what has happend to me it is a Janome 9700,i wish that i had asked for a replacement one much sooner,i have also been told it is too late. If i have anymore problems i will be going straight to Janome on line,i have been told there is a complaint area. cheers Heather
There are so many people having problems with new machines, regardless of brand, or price. I hope you get this sorted out quickly...good luck.
Sandy
Thankyou Sandy, I do believe that Janome are a good machines,i have just been unlucky to have a lemon.cheers Heather
Sweetheart join the croud I bought a new one 3 months ago and I have had it here one week this last time whitch is the 4 time It has been there 3 or 4 weeks.if I bring it home this time and it does not work I will demand a new machine.
Yes you must do that before its too late, i have had trouble with my machine from the start, they never seemed to get to the bottom of the problem. As i was new to embroidery i thought it was me causing the problems, now i know its not me but the machine,my dealer is saying that it is too late for me to have a replacement machine. If i have any more problems with my machine i will be contacting the manufacture.
Heather sorry to here about your come Monday macheine - that sure would put a cramp in your pile of to-do's. But I do understand - I have been waiting on a part for a month - *4U
I'm sending you a flower, sounds like you could use one about now. ******
Thanks,no point in getting too upset,i have my health, have compleated lots of ufos that have been around in containers for awhile. There is something about hand sewing that makes a quilt special. cheers Heather.
